The lavish State Funeral of Prince Bernhard of The Netherlands at the Nieuwe Kerk in Delft on this day in 2004, after being transported from the Noordeinde Palace in The Hague on the undercarriage of a cannon, amidst military marches and the forming of guards of honour by Second World War veterans and a low flypast.
