The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the annual Endeavour Fund Awards at the Draper’s Hall in London on February 7th. They celebrated the achievements of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women who have taken part in remarkable sporting and adventure challenges over the last year. The Duke and Duchess first attended a pre-ceremony reception where they met the inspiring nominees, as well as endeavour participants and key supporters of the Endeavour Fund. They then attended the awards ceremony, hosted by Ross Kemp and in which three prizes were awarded:

  • The Recognising Achievement Award – awarded to the individual who has best utilised their endeavour to promote and catalyse their recovery
  • The Celebrating Excellence Award – awarded to the individual who has endeavoured to achieve excellence in their chosen sport or adventure challenge
  • The Henry Worsley Award – awarded to the individual who has best inspired others through the demonstration of determination in the face of adversity, whilst endeavouring to support others with their recovery through sport or adventurous challenge.

The Royal Foundation’s Endeavour Fund supports the ambitions of these men and women to use challenges to help with their physical, psychological and social recovery and rehabilitation.

  1. I hope the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to lend their support to wounded or injured service men and women. I think they deserve all our help and encouragement. They have given us the best of themselves and we should reciprocate now that they need us. Bravo for the Duke and Duchess!
