— The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) February 1, 2019The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the City of Bristol on February 1st. After meeting members of the public, they visited the Bristol Old Vic, where they toured the recently renovated facility, finding out more about the theatre’s unique history and links to the local community. The Duke and Duchess also dropped in on a workshop attended by local school children which is part of Bristol Old Vic’s outreach programme. Afterwards, they visited One 25, to see how they are helping women to break free from street sex-work, addiction and other life-controlling issues, where the Duchess helped pack lunches and warm clothing which will be distributed to women working on the streets tonight. They finally visited the Empire Fighting Chance, which aims to fight the impact of deprivation on young people’s lives through boxing. The Duke and Duchess met with young people using the boxing gym, speak to coaches about the positive impact Empire Fighting Chance is having on young people in Bristol and watched a couple of training sessions attended by primary and secondary school pupils.
The messages on the bananas made me misty eyed. How beautiful.
