The Wedding of Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein, second son of reigning Prince Hans Adam II and Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, and Angela Gisela Brown (wearing her own design with the Kinsky Tiara) at the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer in New York City on this day in 2000. The bride was the first person of African descent to marry into a reigning European Royal Family, and despite some opposition, she was warmly welcomed by the Princely Family.
