Queen Máxima in Argentina

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands attended the G20 summit in Buenos Aires from November 29th to December 1st, in her role as a special advocate of the United Nations Secretary General for Inclusive Financing for Development (UNSGSA) and honorary president of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion Global Partnership for Inclusion Financing. Queen Máxima was born and raised in Argentina.

On November 29th, Queen Máxima met with President  Mauricio Macri of Argentina, and hosted the G20 side event ‘The Role of Finance for Women’s Economic Empowerment’, among a number of bilateral meetings with government representatives of countries that are actively working to improve access to financial services and inclusive finance.

The following day, Queen Máxima attended a series of meetings with government representatives of countries which actively work to improve access to financial services and inclusive finance, before attending a Gala for Heads of State at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, along with the Dutch Prime Minster.

On the final day, Queen Máxima had a series of meetings, and posed with the Spouses of the G20 leaders, before visiting the Museum of Latin American Art with First Lady Juliana Awada.
