Funeral of King Leopold III of Belgium at the Saint Jacques-sur-Coudenberg Church in Brussels on this day in 1983. Royal attendees included his widow, the Princess de Réthy, children: King Baudouin of Belgium and Queen Fabiola, Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine Charlotte of Luxembourg, future King Albert II, and Princess Paola, and Prince Alexander, as well as foreign royal guests including his sister, Queen Marie Jose of Italy, his nephew, King Olav V of Norway, another nephew, The Prince of Naples, Queen Juliana of The Netherlands, and Prince Bertil of Sweden.
