— The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (@KensingtonRoyal) September 20, 2018The Duchess of Sussex, joined by the Duke and her mother, Doria, hosted a celebratory event to mark the launch of ‘Together’, a cookbook celebrating the power of cooking to strengthen communities and bring people together at Kensington Palace on September 20th. The Duchess joined the women as they prepared the meal and assisted with the preparations, before the women and the Royal Couple sat to enjoy the freshly made food with their guests, which included members of the local community, representatives from Ebury Press, Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre and The Royal Foundation. The Duchess of Sussex has written the foreword for the book, which features recipes from a group of women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, who gather and prepare fresh food for their families and neighbours, as a way of helping the community to connect, heal and look forward, and to convene through food.
