Wedding of Princess Ileana of Romania and Archduke Anton of Austria in Sinaia on this day in 1931. The Princess was the youngest child of King Ferdinand and Queen Marie of Romania. Royal attendees included the bride’s siblings, King Carol II of Romania, Queen Maria of Yugoslavia, and Queen Elisabeth of Greece among a host of royal relatives. The couple had six children, but divorced in 1954, after fleeing in exile to the United States. The Princess eventually became a nun and passed away in 1991.
