Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe joined the Romanian Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Marie of Romania in Bucharest on this day in 1938, followed by a burial at the Curtea de Argeș Cathedral while her heart was interred in her Stella Maris Chapel in Balchik.

Royal attendees were led by King Carol II of Romania, Dowager Queen Maria of Yugoslavia, ex Queen Elisabeth of Greece, Prince Nicholas, Princess Ileana, and Crown Prince Michael, while guests included Princess Olga of Yugoslavia and Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent. Queen Marie had the last State Funeral in Romania before the Funeral of her grandson, King Michael, in 2017.
