Representationsmiddag

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden hosted the annual Representationsmiddag (Representatives Dinner) at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on May 31st. Guests included representatives from the diplomatic corps, parliament, government, government, science, sports, business, culture and people that the Royal Family met when traveling.

After posing for photographers, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Phillip, and Princess Sofia received and welcomed guests in the White Sea Room of the Royal Palace of Stockholm, before the Official Dinner served in Karl XI’s Gallery.

King Carl XVI Gustav wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Polar Star.  Queen Silvia wore a white patterned gown with the Connaught Diamond Tiara, pearl and diamond earrings, a pearl necklace, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim, and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch. Crown Princess Victoria wore a pink gown with the Baden Fringe Tiara, diamond floral earrings, diamond riviere, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim, and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch. Prince Daniel and Prince Carl-Phillip wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Sofia wore a patterned gown with the diamond version of her Wedding Tiara the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim, and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch.

  1. Wow! Queen Silvia has an enviable figure! She looked absolutely wonderful in her gown and tiara! Her gown was even prettier than her daughter’s and daughter-in-law’s! They looked very nice, but the Queen was amazing! The gentlemen looked very elegant too, in their white tie and orders. But then they always do, n’est pas?

  2. Wow! Didn’t know Sweden had a royal family. All one hears about is the British royal family. How elegant. We need to hear more about them and other royal families too.
