Wedding of Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau

Happy Anniversary to the late Prince Friso and Princess Mabel of Orange-Nassau, who got married on this day in 2004! Due to some controversy, the Prince did not seek permission to marry from the Dutch Parliament and thus lost his title of ‘Prince of the Netherlands’,  but retained his title of ‘Prince of Orange-Nassau’. The couple had two daughters and remained happily married until he was buried under an avalanche in 2012, and tragically passed away in a coma the following year. Princess Mabel is a prominent human rights activist, and is often seen at family events.

  1. Well, her wedding dress was interesting. I can’t say it would make any list of best gowns, but she was radiant! I think they were very happy together in the short time that was given them, which is the most important thing and a lesson to us all.

  2. You know the more I see this dress, the better I like it. I think it is very “Mabel”. Theirs is a tragic story, but she has continued to do great work with The Elders. I admire her immensely.

  3. Thanks a lot for distribution this with all people you real realize what you’re talking about! Bookmarked. Please also treat with my website =). We could bang a fixing act provision between us!
