— RoyalArjan (@RoyalArjan) April 16, 2018Happy Birthday to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, who turns 78 today! To mark the occasion, we are taking a look at her 18th Birthday, on this day 60 years ago, which marked the coming of age of the first Female Heiress to the Danish Throne in centuries. Guests at the one of the grand Banquet hosted by King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid (in the Pearl Poiré Tiara) in honour of their eldest daughter (who was wearing the Alexandrine Drop Tiara, a birthday gift, and the Order of the Elephant) included her grandfather, King Gustaf Adolf of Sweden, her godmother and great-aunt, Lady Patricia Ramsay (in Princess Helena Victoria’s Honeysuckle Tiara), cousin Princess Margretha of Sweden (wearing the Khedive of Egypt Tiara), and Princess Margretha of Sweden and Denmark (in her Floral Tiara).
