Belgian State Visit to Canada- Day 5

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are on a 6-day State Visit to Canada, from March 11th to 17th, at the invitation of Julie Payette, the Governor General of Canada (the representative of the Queen of Canada), to strengthen and celebrate political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.Click HERE for Day 1, HERE for Day 2, HERE for Day 3, and HERE for Day 4.

In the morning, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended a Roundtable on Social Entrepreneurship, which was followed by a visit to a project of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation at the school and skating rink of the Park Le Carignan. Later, the Queen attended a lunch at McGill University, while the King attended an invest lunch.

In the afternoon, the Royal couple attended the audiovisual seminar “Bienvenue au pays qui coproduit plus vite que son ombre… la Belgique” at the at the Musée Grévin Montréal, which was followed by an informal meeting with the Belgian press. In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a concert at the Théâtre Rialto.
