Belgian State Visit to Canada- Day 2

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are on a 6-day State Visit to Canada, from March 11th to 17th, at the invitation of Julie Payette, the Governor General of Canada (the representative of the Queen of Canada), to strengthen and celebrate political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries. On the morning of Day 2, Queen Mathilde attended a working breakfast while King Philippe attended the Academic-Scientific Seminar: Multilingual education and language learning in Canada and Belgium at a crossroad. Later, the couple visited the Art Gallery of Canada, and then the King attended a Power Lunch, while the Queen attended an Academic lunch at the University of Ottawa.

In the afternoon, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended a World War I remembrance activity at the Canadian War Museum and then a Diamond Mine Experience at the Canadian Museum of Nature.

In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a concert and return dinner in honour of Governor General Julie Payette at the Canadian Museum of History.

  1. Well, here is the reverse of yesterday! I really love her dinner gown! She looks absolutely wonderful! Not so much her daytime outfit, which seems to be something from Natan. But her evening outfit! Superb!!! King Philip is looking dashing as well! 🙂
