  1. This was the rare occasion when everyone looked good! Princess Martha, who normally is a bit on the unusual side looked wonderful! (Though I marvel at her complete disregard for the frigid temperatures in Norway. Her dress would look quite at home in a luau in Hawaii!) CP Mette-Marit gave up her granny prints for a lovely lace gown. The Queen’s repeated gown is very becoming to her, and Queen Maud’s very excellent stomacher/brooch she wore made it extra special. But the Duchess!!! She looked absolutely magnificent! That rose gown with the flowing cape made her look like a goddess! Quite an improvement from the dresses she wore in Sweden. But then, those events were not quite as formal as this one, so we must make allowances. 🙂

    1. It really was an improvement from Sweden, and this gown is maybe my favourite of all of the Duchess’ evening gowns! CP Mette-Marit’s gown is the best she’s worn in years, and I can’t wait for it’s eventual gala appearance with tiaras and orders! BTW, if you are interested, I have created a image which shows the royals with tiaras! Do let me know what you think?
