Dinner at Noordeinde Palace

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands hosted a Dinner at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, on December 21st. Secretary General Guterres is on a two-day visit to the Netherlands for the closing ceremony of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).

Earlier in the day, King Willem-Alexander received Secretary-General Guterres in an audience at the Noordeinde Palace which Queen Máxima attended in her position as special advocate of the Secretary-General for Inclusive Financing for Development. Prior to dinner, the Royal Couple posed for pictures in one of the State Rooms of the Palace. Both the King and Secretary-General gave speeches. Minister Zijlstra of Foreign Affairs, Minister Kaag for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation and Minister Van Nieuwenhuizen of Infrastructure and Public Works were in attendance.

King Willem-Alexander wore a pin-stripped suit with a pale blue tie. Queen maxima wore a black lace jumpsuit with a diamond riviere and large diamond studs.
