The members of the Royal Family greeted the Nobel Laureates and their guests in the Vita Havet Assembly Rooms, before they processed into Karl XI’s Gallery for the Banquet. Since the Banquet is a private event, we only get pictures from the procession and of the Royals greeting guests.

King Carl XVI Gustav wore White Tie with the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and the neck badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Queen Silvia wore a lilac dress in lace with pearl and sequin embroidery with the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Tiara and Parure, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. Crown Princess Victoria wore a floral Camilla Thulin gown with the Laurel Wreath Tiara, diamond floral earrings, her coloured diamond necklace, a diamond brooch, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. Prince Daniel wore White Tie with the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and the neck badge of the Order of the Polar Star.

Prince Carl Phillip wore White Tie with the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and the neck badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Sofia wore pale green gown (possibly by Rachel Zoe) with the Emerald version of her Wedding Tiara, emerald earrings, diamond brooch, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. 1. All the ladies looked great, but now I’m wondering if CP owns the P. Lilian tiara. Could P. Lilian have left it to the Swedish jewelry foundation with the caveat that it would be worn only by CP Victoria during her lifetime? So far she has been the only one to wear it. But, does she own it outright? I think P. Madeleine owns the Modern Fringe tiara, and P. Sophia her wedding tiara, if I’m not mistaken, so private ownership of jewels wouldn’t be unheard of.

    1. If I remember correctly, in Princess Lilian’s will, she bequeathed the tiara to Crown Princess Victoria (along with a mystery gold tiara)!
