After boarding the ship, the Queen proceeded onto a dias, for the Royal Salute and National Anthem. The Queen inspected the front rank of the Royal Guard, while the Princess Royal inspected the rear rank.
HM then gave a short address at @HMSQnlz’s commissioning ceremony:
‘As the daughter, wife & mother of naval officers, I recognise the unique demands our nation asks of you and I will always value my special link with HMS Queen Elizabeth, her ship’s company and their families.’ pic.twitter.com/BksBva9ynw

The commissioning cake (one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen) was cut by the Captain’s wife and the youngest member of the Ship’s Company. A ‘Cheer Ship’ (three cheers for Her Majesty) signaled the end of the formal Commissioning Ceremony.
