Royal Variety Performance 2017

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium on November 24th. The event is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which the Queen is patron, which helps entertainers throughout the UK, who need help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times. The Duke and Duchess were delayed by an incident at the nearby Oxford Circus Station.

Upon arrival at the London Palladium, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met officials and performers before taking their seat in the Royal Box. The Performance was hosted by Miranda Hart and included performances from the Killers, Paloma Faith, Louis Tomlinson and the Script. Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess went up on stage to meet the performers. The event was filmed by ITV, and will be screened later next month.

The Duke of Cambridge wore Black Tie. The Duchess wore an ice blue Jenny Packham gown with the Queen’s Diamond Chandelier Earrings.
