Monaco National Day 2017

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco were joined by members of the Monegasque Princely Family for the annual National Day Celebrations in Monte Carlo on November 19th. National Day, also known as The Sovereign Prince’s Day, is held on the day of St. Rainier, the namesake saint of Prince Rainier II, father of Prince Albert.

In the morning, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were accompanied by Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie, their children, and respective spouses for reviewing the Guard in the Courtyard of the Palais du Prince, which was followed by a special National Day Mass at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Monte Carlo. Afterwards, the group was joined by the children, including Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, on the Balcony of the Palace to watch the military parade.

In the evening, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were joined by Princess Caroline and her son, Andrea Casiraghi, for the annual Monaco National Day Gala Performance at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo.

Prince Albert wore Uniform with the Collar and Star of the Order of Saint-Charles as well as the Stars of the Order of the Crown and the Order of Grimaldi. Princess Charlene wore a blue velvet coat with a black hat, diamond stud earrings, and the badge of the Order of Saint-Charles. In the evening, Prince Albert wore White Tie with his medals. Princess Charlene wore a textured evening gown and coat with diamond studs, and the sash and star of the Order of St. Charles.
