In the morning, King Felipe wore a dark gray suit with a pale blue tie. Queen Letizia wore a HugoBoss ‘Kusima’ dress. In the evening, King Felipe wore White Tie with the neck badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece, the Sash and Star of the Order of Charles III, and his medals. Queen Letizia wore a black blouse and a repeated Lorenzo Caprile mantón de Manila (Manila shawl) skirt with the Floral Tiara, Queen Sofia’s Pearl and Diamond Earrings, Fleur de Lys Brooch, Diamond Art deco Brooch, ‘Joyas de Pasar’ Bracelets and the Sash and Star of the Order of Charles III. At the reception, King Felipe wore a black suit with a dark blue tie. Queen Letizia wore a black polka-dotted dress with the ‘Joyas de Pasar’ Earrings and a bracelet.
The Queen looks fabulous in that skirt and blouse! She’s wearing what is probably her favorite tiara. It is very pretty and sort of low-key, quite appropriate to wear especially since Mrs. Rivlin was probably not going to wear something very flashy or trendy. The Queen always seemed to look after Mrs. Rivlin, which I find really nice of her.
