Members of the Swedish Royal Family attended a series of events to commemorated the Opening of the session of Parliament (Riksdag) on September 12th in Stockholm. They attended a church service, the opening ceremony, and a concert in the evening.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Madeline as they attended a church service at the Storkyrkan Church in Stockholm. Afterwards, the Royal Family arrived at the Parliament House (Riksdag) in carriages for the Opening Ceremony, where King Carl-Gustav gave a speech, at the conclusion of which, he said:
I hereby declare 2017/2018 Parliamentary Session open.”
