Prince Charles becomes Great Master of the Order of the Bath, 1975

Prince Charles (sporting a moustache) proceeds through the nave of Westminster Abbey after a ceremony which installed him as Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, on this day in 1975. Following him is the Queen (wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara and her Festoon Necklace), who performed the ceremony, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the order.
