Happy Birthday to Zara Tindall! The only daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, she is the younger sister of Peter Phillips, and the only female-line granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, and a contemporary of the Duke of Cambridge, to whom she remains close. Growing up at Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park Estate, Zara was educated at Beaudesert Park School in Stroud, Gloucestershire, and Port Regis School in Shaftesbury, Dorset, before attending Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland, and later studying at the University of Exeter where she qualified as a physiotherapist. A professional equestrian like both of her parents, Zara won the Eventing World Championship in Aachen in 2006 and was voted 2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year by the public. As a member of the Great Britain Eventing Team, she won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, presented to her by her mother, a member of the International Olympic Committee. In 2011, she married former England Rugby captain Mike Tindall in Edinburgh. The couple have three children, Mia, born in 2014, Lena, born in 2018, and Lucas, born in 2021. Zara is one of the godmothers of Prince George of Cambridge and is currently 19th in line to the British Throne. We wish her a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!
