Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in Italy- Day 5

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are visiting Italy from March 31st to April 5th on advice from the British Government. They are based in Florence, and have visited Vicenza, Naples, Amatrice. On Day 3, the Prince and Duchess visited Rome and the Vatican.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall traveled from Florence to Rome and started their day at the British School in Rome, which was founded in 1901 as a school for research into archaeology and Italian studies. They viewed artworks produced by the School and met students and artists in residence.

The Prince of Wales joined Cardinal Turkson at a meeting on climate change at the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue.

In the afternoon, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of visited The Holy See, where they met His Holiness Pope Francis, exchanged gifts, and toured the Vatican Library and Secret Archives.

The Prince of Wales wore a navy suit with a dotted tie. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a gold and cream Anna Valentine coat and dress with her Pearl and Diamond Prince of Wales Feathers Brooch. For the visit to the Vatican, she wore a gold Anna Valentine coat with her Everyday Pearl Earrings and Four Strand Pearl Choker with Large Diamond Clasp.
