Queen at Charterhouse

Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, visited and formally opened the new development at the Charterhouse in Central London on February 28th. They toured the site and unveiled a plaque.

The Queen and Duke were welcomed by senior representatives of the Charterhouse. They viewed a 3D representation of the redeveloped site and met members of the design, building and landscaping teams. The Queen visited the newly created Learning Centre and museum facilities, while the Duke will met staff and governors in the Great Hall. They joined for a short ceremony, and to unveil a plaque commemorating their visit in the Chapel.

The Queen wore a cream coat and hat, with her customary Three Strand Pearl Necklace. The Duke of Edinburgh wore a dark coat with a checked tie.
