Happy 57th Birthday to Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the second son of Queen Elizabeth II. Born at Buckingham Palace in 1960, he was named after his paternal grandfather, Prince Andrew of Greece. Educated at Gordonstoun and the Royal navy college, Prince Andrew served in the Royal Navy during the Falklands War. In 1986, he married Sarah Ferguson and was made the Duke of York. The Duke and Duchess had two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, but amicably divorced in 1996. The Duke carries out engagements throughout the world in support of the Queen, and serves as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. We wish HRH a very Happy Birthday and many more to come!

UPDATE: Due to the Duke’s relationship with Jeffery Epstein and his court case with Virginia Giuffre, with The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen. The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.
