Dutch Royal Tiaras 2016

It was a year of repeats for the Dutch Royal Family in 2016. They wore only five Tiaras from their enormous collection nine times throughout the the year. At King Carl Gustav’s 70th Birthday celebrations, Princess Beatrix wore one of the family ‘Big Guns’, it was a standard showing at the annual Gala Dinner for the Corps Diplomatique in May, and while Queen Maxima wore a tiara for only the second time during the Dutch State Visit to New Zealand in November, the Dutch Royal family were back in their standard tiaras during the Belgian State Visit to the Netherlands a few weeks later.

 

At the annual Gala Dinner for the Corps Diplomatique in May, Queen Maxima wore the Mellerio Ruby Tiara, Princess Beatrix wore Queen Emma’s Diamond Tiara, and Princess Margriet wore the Pearl Button Tiara.

In April, at the King Carl Gustav’s 70th Birthday celebrations, Princess Beatrix wore Württemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara. At the Banquet during the Dutch State Visit to New Zealand in November, Queen Maxima wore Queen Emma’s Diamond Tiara for the second time.

During the Belgian State Visit to the Netherlands in November, Queen Maxima wore the Mellerio Ruby Tiara, Princess Beatrix wore the Dutch Diamond Bandeau, Princess Laurentien wore Queen Emma’s Diamond Tiara, and Princess Margriet wore the Pearl Button Tiara.
