Just hours before most of the members of the extended British Royal Family gather at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s annual Christmas Lunch, we take a look at another gathering of the extended Royal Family, this time in 1971. This photograph of was taken in honour of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s Silver Wedding Anniversary by Lord Lichfield. From R-L; Princess Margaret, Lord Snowdon, Lady Sarah Armstrong Jones, the Duchess of Kent, Lord Nicholas Windsor, the Duke of Kent, Prince Michael of Kent, the Queen Mother, Lord Linley, Queen Elisabeth II, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Earl of St Andrews, the Prince of Wales, Prince Edward, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, Lady Helen Windsor, Marina Ogilvy, Sir Angus Ogilvy, Princess Alexandra of Kent, and James Ogilvy. (Please note these are the names and titles of these personages in 1971 and may be different now)
