Delhi Durbar, 1911

In honour of the 105th anniversary of the Delhi Durbar, we take a look back at the King George V and Queen Mary at the Coronation Durbar in Delhi, British India on December 12th, 1911. This ceremony was the pinnacle of a large elaborate tour made by the British Monarchs to their then territory of British India. Queen Mary is wearing the Delhi Durbar Tiara and the Cambridge Emeralds. King George V is wearing the Imperial Crown of India specially made for the occasion.
