The Clintons also hosted King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain in 200o.  As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has also met King Willem-Alexander & Queen Maxima of the Netherlands in 2009, Emperor Akihito & Empress Michiko of Japan in 2011, King Harald & Queen Sonja of Norway in 2012, Queen Margrethe of Denmark in 2012, and the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge in 2013.

In comparison, Donald Trump has only met three royals. He met the Duke of Edinburgh and Sarah, Duchess of York. In 2005, he was pictured with Melania meeting the Prince of Wales at the Museum of Modern Art in New York during the 2005 Royal Tour of the US.
