King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Yuki on Day 3 of their State Visit to Japan. In the morning, the King and Queen had separate engagements. They traveled to Yuki with the Emperor and Empress of Japan. After a couple of engagements in Yuki, they attended a dinner hosted by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

In Yuki, the sovereigns received an official welcome and got to see traditional arts and crafts from Yuki. In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended a dinner hosted by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Akasaka State Guesthouse. Both the King and Prime Minister gave speeches.
For the day events, Queen Mathilde wore a green dress. King Philippe wore a grey suit with a red tie. For the dinner, he changed into a black suit with a navy tie. Queen Mathilde wore an aquamarine dress with a hot pink coat and diamond earrings.
