Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry on World Mental Health Day

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry celebrated World Mental Health Day on October 10th in London. They attended a special Mental Health event held by Heads Together at the County Hall, and then took a ride on the London Eye.

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry attended a Heads Together event at London’s County Hall. The royals spoke with people who have been helped by the eight mental health charities brought together by Heads Together. All three royals gave speeches about the issues around mental health:

The Duchess said:

William, Harry and I feel it is our duty to do what we can, with your help, to shine a spotlight on emotional wellbeing”,

The Duke said;

On the Heads Together journey so far we have seen the difference that a listening ear can make to people’s lives”

Prince Harry said:

 It’s time we ended the shame around mental health – the fear of judgment that stops people talking or getting help”

Later, the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry rode on the London Eye with couples from Heads Together charities. They were told one person had been helped by the other, when they had suffered from depression or other psychological problems. Before leaving, the royals met with a group of children from Abacus Nursery in Streatham Hill.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a rose Kate Spade dress with her Kiki McDonough Morganite & Diamond earrings. Both the Duke of cambridge and Prince Harry wore navy trousers with navy blazers over light shirts.
