The religious service took place at St. Jacob Church in Oettingen with 800 guests in attendance. Baroness Cleopatra was led down the aisle by her father, artist Louis von Adelsheim. The maids of honour were Princess Isabella Gaetani von Lobkowicz and Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi, daughter-in-law of Princess caroline of Monaco and Hanover.

After the service, there was a South American–inspired party, before dinner in the Hall of Oettingen Castle. After the wedding cake was served, the guests made their way to another part of the Castle, which had been transformed into an enchanted forest, for the reception.
