National Osteoporosis Society Reception at Clarence House

HRH The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a Reception for the National Osteoporosis Society at Clarence House on July 12th. Originally, the Duchess was hosting a Garden Part to mark the Society’s 30th Anniversary, but the Garden Party was cancelled because of the rain. The Duchess has been patron of the National Osteoporosis Society since 1997,following the deaths of her mother and grandmother as a result of the illness. She has been the President of the Society since 2001.

The Duchess gave Professor David Marsh the Duchess of Cornwall Award, recognising outstanding contributions to the field of osteoporosis. She met Claire Severgnini, CEO of of the National Osteoporosis Society, who presented the Duchess with a pair of boots with orange laces. The project aims to spread osteoporosis awareness by encouraging people to wear orange laces & share their photos online. HRH also met Richard E Grant, Julian Fellowes, Susan Hampshire and Miriam Margolyes.

The Duchess of Cornwall wore a sky blue Bruce Oldfield dress with her Four Strand Pearl Choker with Small Diamond Clasp and Everyday Pearl Pendant Earrings.
